Victron Phoenix Smart charger 24/25 (3) IP43 120-240V

Victron Phoenix Smart charger 24/25 (3) IP43 120-240V

The new Victron Phoenix Smart charger 24/25 (3) IP43 120-240V has three outputs. All outputs are full current outputs to charge 3 battery banks, and all outputs can supply full rated current. The wireless Smart Battery Sense (SBS050100200) can be ordered for charging with compensation for voltage and temperature. The wireless Smart Battery Sense (SBS050100200) can be ordered for charging with compensation for voltage and temperature. Bluetooth Smart enabled Use a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet or other device to monitor voltage and current, change settings and update the battery charger as new features become available. Automatic charge compensation By slightly increasing the output voltage when the DC current increases, the battery charger automatically compensates for the voltage loss due to DC cables. Adaptive 5-stage charging algorithm: bulk – absorption – reconditioning – buffer – storage The Phoenix Smart Charger is equipped with the well-known Victron Energy adaptive battery management system that can be preset for different types of batteries. The adaptive function automatically optimizes the charging process depending on the use of the battery. The right amount of charge: adjusted absorption time When the battery is slightly discharged (if the battery charger is connected to the electricity grid), the absorption time is kept short to prevent overcharging and excessive gases. After a deep discharge, the absorption time is automatically extended to fully charge the battery. Damage limitation due to excessive gases: the safe battery mode If, in order to shorten the charging time, a high charging current and an increased charging voltage are chosen, the Phoenix charger will limit the rate of rise of the voltage after the gas voltage has been reached. This prevents excessive gassing in the final phase of the charging cycle. Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not used: the storage function. When there is no discharge for more than 24 hours, the battery switches to the storage function. The voltage is then reduced to 2.2V/cell (26.4V for a 24V battery) to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week the voltage is increased to absorption level to recharge the battery. This prevents stratification of the electrolyte and sulfation of the plates, a major cause of premature battery failure. Also suitable for charging Li-ion (LiFePO₄) batteries. It is possible to implement on/off control of the charger by a relay or an open collector opto-coupler output of a Li-ion BMS on the remote control port of the charger. On the other hand, complete control of the voltage and current is possible through Bluetooth control. Fully programmable charging algorithm The charging algorithm can be set using Bluetooth or the VE.Direct interface. Three pre-programmed charging algorithms can be selected using the mode button. Remote control on/off The remote control on/off consists of two connections: Remote control H and Remote control L. A remote control on/off button or relay contact can be placed between H and L. It is also possible to increase connection H or decrease connection L. VE.Direct interface For connection to the Color Control panel, laptop or other equipment. Programmable relay Can be set using the VE.Direct interface or a Bluetooth device in case of an alarm or pre-alarm.

Electric propulsion systems in pleasure boating

Advantages of electric motors? In summary: Clean, quiet, low-maintenance, reliable, practical, super strong and very predictable and controllable range. Knowing more? be sure to read our blog post about electric sailing and then our practical experiences with these beautiful products.

Electric motors can be divided into the following categories:

Inboard engines:

These are engines that are built into the boat to replace, for example, an existing marine diesel or to drive a sloop with a built-in engine. Propulsion takes place, for example, via a propeller shaft or sail drive and the engine is usually placed along the length of the boat.

Outboard engines:

These are engines that are, for example, attached to the rear (transom) of the boat. These motors are therefore more flexible because they are easily accessible and removable. When there is a voltage of 24 volts or higher, we call it an outboard motor.

Whisper engines:

Whisper motors are the lighter brother of the outboard motor because of a voltage below 24 volts. They are often powered by an external 12V battery.

Pods:

These engines are therefore mounted under the boat . This therefore has the great advantage that the engine does not take up any space in the boat and is not visible on the outside of the boat.

Watercraft:

Our water scooter is an electrically powered swimming board. When used the other way around, it is also a double water cannon. This is not only a fun toy for small children, but also a very useful tool for less mobile swimmers.

SUP engine:

Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) is becoming increasingly popular, but is also a strenuous sport. However, by equipping the SUP with an auxiliary motor, covering large distances becomes a lot easier. Be sure to read our test of the ePropulsion Vaquita SUP motor .

Canoe or kayak motor:

Just like for the SUP, we also supply supporting motors for kayak and canoe.
