This marked the beginning of a wonderful project, which has led to a collaboration between Robust-MT Marine Technology BV and Kemeling Kunststoffen . Together, we will build various HDPE boats, ranging from a large Westlander tour boat to compact rental boats, robust workboats, and fishing boats. Read our story here.

Kemeling Kunststoffen has all the facilities to manufacture robotic boats from sustainable and even recycled HDPE plastic sheet material. Robust-MT Marine Technology BV boasts the latest innovations in electric propulsion and onboard electrical systems. Kemeling Kunststoffen plans to produce the hulls. Robust-MT Marine Technology BV will finish the boats and sell them through its own sales channels and network to both business and private customers.
The beautiful Westlander Tour Boat was created several years ago as a showcase for Kemeling Kunststoffen . This boat is incredibly innovative and has a direct-electric design. Together with Robust-MT Marine Technology BV, this model is now being updated in terms of drive technology and electrical system and optimized for commercial and professional use. Furthermore, a version of the same boat is being developed as a compact, sustainable cargo boat for urban areas such as the Amsterdam canals.
Kemeling Kunststoffen's manufacturing process is ideally suited for volume production of smaller boats, which could be developed into rental boats, small sloops, fishing boats, or work boats. We first conducted test runs with a prototype, after which Kemeling created a beautiful design for the boat, and Robust-MT Marine Technology BV designed a matching electrical system and electric propulsion system.
