This Blue Sea Systems 3000 HD series heavy-duty manual on-off battery switch for large diesel engines is suitable for a continuous power of 600 A maximum. Tinned copper connections for maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance. M12 bolts with a length of 22 mm (7/8"), suitable for connecting multiple cable lugs. The housing design (IP66) allows the switch to be installed on the surface, rear or front panel. Blue Sea Systems -Battery switches are the standard for battery switches. Battery management is central to the safe operation of a boat or vehicle. A battery switch is required in any boat with a battery rated at more than 800 Cold Cranking Amps (CCA). This requirement exists so that the potential destructive energy in the batteries can be isolated in the event of a fire.
