GX Tank 140
The Victron GX Tank 140 can read up to 4 tank level sensors. It is an accessory for GX system surveillance products, of which the Cerbo GX is the most commonly used model. Tank levels can be read both locally in the system and remotely via the VRM Portal. The GX Tank is compatible with both current sensors (4 to 20 mA) and voltage sensors (0 to 10V). The connection to the GX device is via USB, this is also how the GX Tank 140 is powered: no additional power cables are required. The wiring of the tank sensor has been kept as simple as possible: two of the four inputs provide a 24 V power source to power the sensor. The other two channels do require an external power source. A power input terminal together with fused outputs is provided for this purpose. The high and low limits are configurable, so that sensors can also be used that only use part of the scale, for example 0 to 5 V. To get a stable reading, the measurements can be damped. The mute can be configured between 1 and 60 seconds. Defective sensors and wiring problems are detected: an alarm is generated if the values are out of range. For marine applications, the GX device can transmit these tank levels on the NMEA 2000 network so that they can be received by other displays such as an MFD.
