Used as a main fuse directly behind the battery bank in yachts, motorhomes, off-grid installations, and industrial DC systems. The extremely fast current-limiting action restricts the energy allowed to pass during a short circuit, ensuring that battery cables, busbars, inverters, and charge controllers remain within their short-circuit tolerance. Class T: the fastest characteristic in its class. Class T according to UL 248-15 is current-limiting and interrupts within a quarter period. The peak current is cut off before the theoretical short-circuit current is reached, so that the thermal and dynamic load on the installation remains many times lower than with a slow fuse of the same value. Suitable for lithium battery banks. Lithium battery banks deliver short-circuit currents that are far above the breaking capacity of standard automotive or ANL fuses.
