Applications: Protection of battery cables in ESS/home batteries, off-grid systems, marine, and electric vehicles. Installation: These EF3 fuses do not fit in all fuse holders, but usually do fit in an ANL fuse holder. It is possible to install an EF3 in an MG Master or Victron Distributor. Tightening can be done with a wrench, but preferably torqued using a torque wrench and a crowfoot wrench attachment. PLEASE NOTE: Does not fit in all fuse holders; in many cases, must be torqued using a crowfoot wrench attachment in combination with a torque wrench. Can be used in a LYNX EN DISTRIBUTOR with cable lug thicknesses up to 50mm². The Adler EF3 series has been specially developed and tested for protecting high-power lithium battery packs and battery management systems, as used in ESS installations and electric vehicles. These fuses support voltages up to 200Vdc and currents from 150A to 350A. A class above traditional ANL or Mega fuses, which fall short at higher DC voltages and short-circuit currents. The sand-filled housing effectively extinguishes the arc in the event of a short circuit, with a high breaking capacity of up to 50 kA. Thanks to its compact size (77 × 20 mm) and M8 bolt connection, the fuse fits into standard ANL fuse holders and the Victron Lynx Distributor — ideal for fusing battery cables in your 48V system.
