MultiPlus 48/5000/70-100
All MultiPlus models in this series are equipped with PowerControl and PowerAssist functionality. All models are also suitable for three-phase and parallel operation. This model has a maximum throughput current of 100A. Victron Energy inverter/chargers are designed for professional use. They are suitable for a wide range of devices with both high and low starting capacities. The MultiPlus is a multifunctional energy system with a sine wave inverter, battery charger, and AC transfer switch. Batteries are safely charged, even when the power supply is poor. Proven reliability The full-bridge plus toroidal transformer topology has proven very reliable over many years. The inverter is short-circuit proof and protects against overheating, whether due to overload or high ambient temperatures. PowerControl – Maximizing the use of limited generator, shore, or grid power The Digital MultiControl control panel allows you to set a maximum generator or shore power. The MultiPlus then takes other power consumers into account and only uses the 'surplus' power for charging, so that the generator or shore connection is not overloaded. PowerAssist – Do more with your generator or shore power Where peak power is often only needed for a short time, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore or generator power is immediately supplemented with power from the battery. When the load decreases, the reserve power is used to recharge the battery. High starting power Required to be able to start loads with high inrush current, such as voltage converters for LED lamps, halogen lamps or power tools. Automatic and uninterrupted transfer (UPS function) In the event of a power failure or if the power supply from the shore or generator is interrupted, the inverter in the Multi is automatically activated to supply power to the connected loads. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment can continue to operate without disruption. Two AC outputs (the second output is only available on models of 3 kVA and above) The main output has uninterruptible functionality. The second auxiliary output switches off if no external AC source is available, and therefore only becomes active when an AC voltage is available on the AC input of the MultiPlus. Heavy loads that must not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output. Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel connection Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel to deliver higher power. Three-phase or single-phase power supply is also possible. Please refer to the datasheets to see which models have and do not have this capability. Three-phase connection In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can be configured for three-phase output. But that's not all: up to 6 sets of three units can be connected in parallel for an inverter power of 75 kW / 90 kVA and a charging capacity of over 2000A. Search Mode: When search mode is enabled, the inverter's no-load power consumption is reduced by approximately 70%. Search mode switches the Multi off when there is no load or when the load is very low. The Multi will switch on briefly every 2 seconds. If the output current exceeds a set level, the inverter continues to operate. If not, the inverter switches off again. AES (Automatic Economy Switch): Instead of search mode, AES mode can also be selected. When this setting is enabled, the no-load and low-load power consumption is reduced by approximately 20% by slightly narrowing the sine wave voltage. AES mode cannot be adjusted with DIP switches and is only applicable in a stand-alone configuration. Programmable Relay: The programmable relay is set as an alarm relay by default, meaning that the relay de-energizes in the event of an alarm or pre-alarm (inverter almost too hot, input ripple voltage almost too high, battery voltage almost too low). Solar energy: always AC power available – even during a grid failure The MultiPlus can be used in off-grid, grid-tied PV and other alternative energy systems. Software to detect grid loss is available. Local or remote monitoring and control – optional Monitor and control your MultiPlus system locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world with the free VRM app and the free VRM portal website. Access is possible for multiple control systems via a phone, tablet, laptop or PC. Multiple options are available: Battery Monitor (BMV), Multi Control Panel, Color Control GX and other GX communication devices, VE.Bus Smart Dongle for smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart) and with an interface cable for laptop or PC (USB or RS232). The level of control from adjusting the MultiPlus to setting a Geofence for rental vehicles and more is endless. To get a feel for the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website, visit Victron Remote Management (https://vrm.victronenergy.com) and click the 'Try Our Demo' button. Victron Remote Management (VRM) is a free service from Victron Energy for remotely monitoring electrical equipment worldwide. Local or remote configuration: If settings need to be changed in a standalone application, this can be done in a few minutes using a DIP-switch setup procedure. Parallel and three-phase applications can be configured using VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator software. Standalone, grid-interactive, and self-consumption applications with inverters and/or MPPT solar chargers can be configured using wizards (dedicated software for specific applications). When connected to Ethernet, systems with a Color Control GX and other GX communication devices can be accessed and settings can be changed.
