The Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 – NEW! This new inverter/charger combination from Victron Energy is specifically designed for off-grid or grid-connected PV installations and alternative power installations. The MultiPlus-II combines a powerful 5000 VA (4000 Watt) true sine wave inverter, an advanced 70-ampere battery charger with adaptive charge technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact enclosure. The MultiPlus-II is VDE and TOR D4 certified. PowerAssist The MultiPlus-II prevents overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging is automatically reduced to prevent overload. Then, the second level, using power from the battery, increases the output of the generator or shore power. ESS: Energy Storage Systems The MultiPlus-II is the core component of the Victron ESS (energy storage system), allowing for flexible combination with MPPT solar chargers or grid-tied PV inverters. Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function) In the event of a power outage, or if shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi will automatically activate and take over powering the connected devices. This happens so quickly (within 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronics can continue to operate uninterrupted. Remote monitoring and control You can monitor and control your Multi and system(s) from anywhere in the world. This can be done locally (LAN) or remotely using the free VRM app and VRM portal website. This can be done from a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or PC with various operating systems.
