Quattro-II 48/5000/70-50/50
The Quattro 48/5000/70 combines a powerful 5000VA (4000W) true sine wave inverter, an advanced 70A battery charger with adaptive charge technology, and dual high-speed AC transfer switches in a single compact metal enclosure. Quattros are equipped with two AC inputs, allowing connection of various 230V power sources with automatic priority switching. This Quattro is supplied without the required 70mm² or 2x 35mm² cables and has four M8 bolts (2 positive and 2 negative connections) for battery connection. All Quattro models in this series are equipped with PowerControl and PowerAssist functionality. All models are also suitable for three-phase and parallel operation. This model has a maximum transfer current of 2x 100A. Victron Energy inverter/chargers are designed for professional use. They are suitable for a wide range of devices with high and low starting powers. The Quattro is a multifunctional energy system with a sine wave inverter, battery charger, and AC transfer switches for two AC inputs. Batteries are charged safely, even when the power supply is poor. Proven reliability The solid bridge plus toroidal transformer topology has proven very reliable over many years. The inverter is short-circuit proof and protects against overheating, whether due to overload or high ambient temperatures. PowerControl – Maximize the use of limited generator, shore, or grid power The Quattro is a very powerful battery charger. This means a heavy load on the generator or shore connection (up to 16A per 5kVA Quattro at 230VAC). A current limit can be set for each AC input. The Quattro then takes other power consumers into account and uses only the remaining power for charging, preventing the generator or shore connection from becoming overloaded. PowerAssist – Do more with your generator or shore power This feature adds an extra dimension to the PowerControl principle by allowing the Quattro to supplement the capacity of the alternative source. Where peak power is often only needed for a short period, the Quattro ensures that insufficient mains or generator power is immediately compensated for with power from the battery. When the load decreases, the backup power is used to recharge the battery. High starting power Required to start loads with high inrush current, such as voltage converters for LED lights, halogen lamps, or power tools. Automatic and uninterruptible transfer (UPS function) In the event of a power failure or if the shore power or generator supply is interrupted, the inverter in the Quattro is automatically activated to supply power to the connected loads. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment can continue to operate without disruption. Two AC inputs with integrated transfer switch The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC sources, for example, the utility grid and a generator, or two generators. The Quattro automatically switches over to the active source. Two AC outputs The main output has uninterruptible functionality. The Quattro takes over the power supply to the connected loads in the event of a power outage or if the generator/shore power is interrupted. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment can continue to operate without disruption. The second output only becomes active if AC power is available at one of the Quattro's inputs. Loads that must not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output. Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel connection Up to six Quattro units can be connected in parallel. For example, with six 48/10000/140 units, an output power of 48kW / 60kVA with 840A charging current can be achieved. Three-phase connection: Three units can be configured for three-phase output. But that's not all: up to 6 sets of three units can be connected in parallel for an inverter power of 144kW / 180kVA and a charging capacity of more than 2500A. Search Mode: When 'search mode' is enabled, the inverter's no-load power consumption is reduced by approximately 70%. 'Search mode' means that the Quattro switches off when there is no load or when the load is very low. The Quattro will switch on briefly every 2 seconds. If the output current exceeds a set level, the inverter continues to operate. If not, the inverter switches off again. AES (Automatic Economy Switch): Instead of 'search mode', the AES mode can also be selected. When this setting is enabled, the no-load and low-load power consumption is reduced by approximately 20% by slightly 'narrowing' the sine wave voltage. The AES mode is not adjustable with DIP switches and can only be used in a 'stand-alone' configuration. Programmable relays (3x) Quattros are equipped with three (3) programmable relays, which can be set, for example, as a general alarm, for DC undervoltage or for a generator start/stop function. By default, one relay is set as an alarm relay, which means that the relay becomes de-energized in the event of an alarm or a pre-alarm (inverter almost too hot, ripple voltage on the input almost too high, battery voltage almost too low). Solar energy: always AC voltage available – even during a grid failure The Quattro can be used in both off-grid and grid-tied PV and other alternative energy systems. Software to detect grid loss is available. Local or remote monitoring and control – optional Monitor and control your Quattro system locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world with the free VRM app and the free VRM portal website. Access is possible for multiple operating systems via a phone, tablet, laptop or PC. Multiple options are available: Battery Monitor (BMV), Multi Control Panel, Color Control GX and other GX communication devices, VE.Bus Smart Dongle for smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart) and with an interface cable for laptop or PC (USB or RS232). The level of control, from customizing the Quattro to setting a Geofence for rental vehicles and more, is endless. To get an impression of the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website, visit: Victron Remote Management (https://vrm.victronenergy.com) and click the 'Try Our Demo' button. Victron Remote Management (VRM) is a free service from Victron Energy for remotely monitoring electrical equipment anywhere in the world. Local or remote configuration > If settings need to be changed in a 'stand-alone' application, this can be done within a few minutes via a DIP-switch setting procedure. > Parallel and three-phase applications can be configured using VE.Bus Quick Configure software and VE.Bus System Configurator. > Autonomous, grid-interactive and self-consumption applications, with inverters and/or MPPT solar chargers, can be configured with assistants (dedicated software for specific applications). > When connected to the Ethernet, systems with a Color Control GX and other GX communication devices can be accessed and settings can be changed. Quattro models 3000VA – 15000VA The Quattro models are available in the following power ratings: 3000VA and 5000VA in the 12V voltage rating, 3000VA, 5000VA and 8000VA in the 24V voltage rating, and 5000VA, 8000VA, 10000VA and 15000VA in 48V.
