The Rim Drive Outboard is a robust, 100% electric outboard motor with a unique open propeller (hubless). Ideal for rentals, shallow waters, and heavily vegetated waters, as it prevents weeds and ropes from tangling.

The Rim Drive Outboard combines the proven technology of Rim Drive Technology with a remarkably compact and low-maintenance design. The unique feature of this design is that the only rotating part is located inside the underwater housing. There is no central shaft in the motor, which offers a significant advantage: the risk of ropes, aquatic plants, or nets getting caught in the propeller is drastically reduced.
In addition, the motor housing is fully marine-spec (IP68 rated), allowing you to use it safely in both freshwater and offshore conditions. The impressive acceleration allows the motor to accelerate from standstill to full speed in just 1.5 seconds, ensuring excellent maneuverability.
Depending on your vessel type and operating preference, the engine is available in two convenient versions:
Tiller: This version is equipped with an ergonomic tiller. A clear, integrated display sits atop the tiller, providing immediate access to key engine information and, if properly connected, the current battery status. This model is ideal for lifeboats, sloops, and sailboats where direct, manual steering from the rear is desirable.
Fixed (for steering wheel or remote control): A sleek design without a tiller. You steer the boat via an external steering cylinder or remote control. Both configurations come standard with a robust, universal trim and tilt bracket. This bracket features five different trim positions, allowing you to optimally adjust the propeller's insertion angle for optimal handling. Installation is easy on virtually all standard transom connections, making the system perfect for both new construction projects and retrofitting existing boats.
