Applications For the watertight entry of two solar panel cables through a deck, roof, or superstructure. Due to the compact design and low mounting height, the feed-through can be placed right next to the panel, without loose sealant on the grommets and without visible cable routing across the deck. Two cables in one feed-through The feed-through accommodates two cables, in any combination of 5 and 6 mm. This allows the positive and negative cables of a solar panel to enter through a single opening, instead of via two separate feed-throughs. Watertight seal A tapered gland fits tightly around the cable sheath; a closed-cell rubber seal is located between the housing and the deck. The construction is tested to IP68, ensuring the feed-through remains watertight even in the event of water ingress and prolonged rain. Mounting The horizontal entry can be mounted on wood, metal, and polyester. Each feed-through is supplied with pre-drilled and concealed internal seals, allowing the grommet to be adapted to the cable diameter used. Additional sealing of the grommets is not necessary. Material and Lifespan The housing is made of UV-resistant, impact-resistant marine-grade plastic, ensuring it remains dimensionally stable and colorfast during permanent outdoor installation. The mounting hardware is made of 316 stainless steel.
