Overview The Shelly Pro 3EM 120A is a next-generation DIN-rail 3-phase energy meter for professional integrations. The device can operate independently in a local LAN and/or Wi-Fi network and can also communicate via automation services using MQTT, HTTP, and WebSocket. All incoming connections are TLS supported. What do you measure (real-time) with the Shelly Pro 3EM? The Pro 3EM reports accumulated energy and real-time per-phase voltage, current, active power, and apparent power. This 120A product variant can measure 120 A per phase. The set includes 3 × 120A CT measuring coils. Four-quadrant measurement & PV-compatible This energy meter features four-quadrant measurement with multiple connection options. The Pro 3EM is PV-compatible. Phase sequence error detection is optional. Data logging: 60 days local (1 minute) Measurement data is stored in non-volatile memory and can be retrieved over a period of up to 60 days at 1-minute intervals. The built-in real-time clock retains correct timestamps in the event of loss of SNTP connection. Installation & measurement principle (CT measurement) * Current transformers (CT): contactless measurement for easy installation. * Channel calibration: this requires a minimum load of 500 W per channel. * No-load threshold: if the total load drops below 30 VA per channel, the power level is displayed, but no energy is added and a notification appears in the web interface/app. Switching contactors (important to know) The Shelly Pro 3EM does not have a built-in relay. For contactor control, a 3EM Switch Add-on is available that can be connected to the Pro 3EM.
