This DIN rail energy meter measures current, power, and consumption remotely and integrates directly with Victron GX devices. This allows you to monitor solar panels, a generator, or an AC load, or activate a contactor via the relay in case of overload. What this can do in combination with Victron Energy: Starting with Venus OS 3.70, a Victron GX device (such as the Cerbo GX MK2 or Ekrano GX) automatically recognizes this meter on the network via mDNS, without cabling to the GX. After pairing via Settings > Integrations, you assign a role to the meter: PV inverter (measurement of solar panel yield), AC load (measurement of specific consumption), or Genset (measurement of a generator). The 4-quadrant measurement makes the meter suitable for bidirectional currents, such as those found in an inverter or battery charging point. What it cannot do: The Grid role (grid access meter for ESS) is not supported by Victron for Shelly energy meters. For measuring the grid connection in an ESS setup, a dedicated Victron energy meter or measuring point remains necessary. Measurement and accuracy: 2-channel single-phase measurement with 1x50A current transformer (included). Measuring range 0-50A, accuracy ±1% (5-50A) and ±2% (0-5A), accuracy class B according to IEC 62053-21. Measurement data is stored locally in non-volatile memory, going back up to 60 days in 1-minute intervals. Relays for contactor control: Two galvanically isolated relay outputs (I and O) for controlling an external contactor, maximum 2A at 240VAC. The relays do not switch heavy loads themselves; an external contactor is required for this. Connectivity: LAN, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth.
