What is the Shelly Pro EM‑50? The Shelly Pro EM‑50 is a DIN-rail mounted, two-channel, 1-phase energy meter aimed at professional applications. The device can operate standalone in a local LAN and/or Wi-Fi network, and also supports cloud/home automation connections via MQTT, HTTP, and WebSocket. All incoming connections are TLS supported. Real-time measurements and energy insight The Pro EM‑50 reports both aggregated energy and instantaneous voltage, current, and active/apparent power in real time. This makes it suitable for accurate consumption analysis, cost allocation, or optimization in PV scenarios (Solar ready). Data logging: up to 60 days on the device A key difference compared to much more compact meters: the Shelly Pro EM‑50 stores measurement data in non-volatile memory, retrievable for a period of up to 60 days with 1-minute resolution. Additionally, the device features a real-time clock to maintain correct timestamps in the event of SNTP/connection loss. Contactor control via built-in relay The Pro EM‑50 has a built-in relay for contactor control. External loads/contactors can be switched via 2 galvanically isolated relay terminals (I and O).
