The Torqeedo Cruise electric outboard motors are the cleanest and quietest alternative to petrol engines from 6 to 25 hp. The advanced technology, efficiency and user-friendliness make it extremely suitable for the motorization of sloops, (open) motor boats and sailing boats with a length of up to 10 meters.

Powerful yet lightweight
Just like the Travel engines, the Cruise models are the lightest and quietest outboard engines in their power class. The Cruise models are up to 25% lighter in weight than models from other brands. Thanks to the powerful direct drive drive technology, the engines have a lot of thrust, even at low speeds. This provides certainty in situations where quick action is important.

All models are equipped with a built-in on-board computer with GPS as standard. The clear display on the control handle provides all important sailing information at a glance, such as speed, consumption and remaining sailing time.

• Everything under control: On the display you can continuously see the remaining sailing time or distance, GPS speed, the % of the battery and the power used. Via the Torq Trac app you also have all this and your map position on your smartphone!

Robust above and below water

The robust underwater housing is made of a strong aluminum alloy. The pylon (motor housing) and the skeg are cast in one piece. This offers even more protection if you hit something with your motorcycle while sailing. The thick axle is also less vulnerable to impact. This makes the Torqeedo Cruise engines suitable for professional and commercial use.

Maximum power and efficiency
Due to the design of the engine in combination with the helical transmission, the Cruise models have a high net thrust based on the input power. When sailing electrically, the propeller is also an important element for power and efficiency. These are developed in-house by Torqeedo for the optimization of the drivetrain.

System integration with TorqLink
The Cruise 6.0R and 12.0R are equipped with the advanced TorqLink communication system. This makes it easy to integrate the Power 48-5000 lithium batteries, the control lever and the display. Connecting solar panels or a generator for a series hybrid drive is also possible.

Which engine for my boat?

Please realize that every boat is different. For example, a slim, light boat sails more efficiently than a wide and heavy one. But the sailing area is also important. When sailing on sheltered water and for shorter distances, a lighter engine can be used than when sailing on open water. Always consult your dealer for this.

Superior battery technology

Safe, powerful and easy to use, the Torqeedo Power batteries are the ultimate energy source for the Cruise outboard motors.

Lithium-ion batteries are the technology of choice for electric mobility applications. These batteries store significantly more energy than other batteries, maintain a high current and do not lose their charging capacity over time. They are reliable even in cold weather and have no memory effect. Lithium-ion batteries also have a longer lifespan than lead-based batteries.

Torqeedo Power 24-3500
For the Torqeedo Cruise 3.0 there is the Power 24-3500 with a net capacity of 3.5 kWh on 24V. With a weight of 25.3 kg, this battery has a high energy density. With the 1,700W fast charger, this battery is charged in 2 hours at 220V. Multiple batteries can be combined for a longer range.

Torqeedo Power 48-5000
The Power 48-5000 battery is a 48V battery with a net capacity of 5 kWh and suitable for use with the Torqeedo Cruise 6.0, 10.0 and 12.0. Equipped as standard with an intelligent BMS (Battery Management System) that monitors the battery for overcharging, overvoltage, deep discharge, short circuit and overheating. The Power 48-5000 has been developed for maritime applications with waterproof connectors and a waterproof housing. Can be applied modularly for a longer range. The lifespan of this battery is unique with more than 3000 charging cycles. Using the TorqLink system, this battery can easily be connected to the components of the complete Cruise drivetrain.

How long can I sail with a Torqeedo Cruise?
