The Torqeedo Cruise electric outboard motors are the cleanest and quietest alternative to gasoline engines from 6 to 25 hp. Their advanced technology, efficiency, and user-friendliness make them ideal for powering sloops, (open) motorboats, and sailboats up to 10 meters in length. Powerful yet lightweight Like the Travel motors, the Cruise models are the lightest and quietest outboard motors in their power class. They are up to 25% lighter than models from other brands. Thanks to their powerful direct-drive technology, the motors have plenty of thrust, even at low RPM. This provides confidence in situations where quick action is essential. All models come standard with a built-in onboard computer with GPS. The clear display on the control lever provides all important sailing information at a glance, such as speed, fuel consumption, and remaining cruising time.

Robust above and below water

The robust gearcase is made of a strong aluminum alloy. The pylon (motor housing) and skeg are cast in a single piece. This provides even more protection if you hit something while sailing. The thick shaft is also less vulnerable to impact. This makes the Torqeedo Cruise motors suitable for professional and commercial use. Maximum power and efficiency Thanks to the engine design combined with the helical gearing, the Cruise models achieve high net thrust based on the input power. In electric boating, the propeller is also a key element for power and efficiency. These are developed in-house by Torqeedo to optimize the drivetrain. System integration with TorqLink The Cruise 6.0R and 12.0R are equipped with the advanced TorqLink communication system. This makes it easy to integrate the Power 48-5000 lithium batteries, the control lever, and the display. Connecting solar panels or a generator for a series hybrid drive is also possible.

Keep in mind that every boat is different. A sleek, lightweight boat, for example, will sail more efficiently than a wide, heavy one. The sailing area is also important. A lighter engine can be used for sailing in sheltered waters and for shorter distances than for sailing in open water. Always consult your dealer for this.

Safe, powerful, and user-friendly, Torqeedo Power batteries are the ultimate power source for Cruise outboard motors. Lithium-ion batteries are the technology par excellence for electric mobility applications. These batteries store significantly more energy than other batteries, maintain high current flow, and don't lose their charging capacity over time. They are reliable, even in cold weather, and have no memory effect. Lithium-ion batteries also have a longer lifespan than lead-based batteries. Torqeedo Power 24-3500 The Torqeedo Cruise 3.0 is available with the Power 24-3500, which has a net capacity of 3.5 kWh at 24V. Weighing in at 25.3 kg, this battery boasts a high energy density. With the 1700W fast charger, this battery charges in 2 hours at 220V. For extended range, multiple batteries can be combined. Torqeedo Power 48-5000 The Power 48-5000 battery is a 48V battery with a net capacity of 5 kWh and is suitable for use with the Torqeedo Cruise 6.0, 10.0, and 12.0. It comes standard with an intelligent BMS (Battery Management System) that monitors the battery for overcharging, overvoltage, deep discharge, short circuits, and overheating. The Power 48-5000 is designed for marine applications with waterproof connectors and a waterproof housing. Modular configuration is also available for extended range. This battery boasts a unique lifespan of over 3,000 charge cycles. The TorqLink system makes it easy to connect this battery to components of the complete Cruise drivetrain.
