Torqeedo Travel 603

The Torqeedo Travel 603 and 1103 are the world's most successful electric outboard motors thanks to their advanced technology, efficiency, and user-friendliness. The Torqeedo Travel 603 is the lightest motor in the Torqeedo Travel series.

Powerful and efficient

The high torque and specially designed large propeller make the Travel motors the most efficient in their class. Thanks to the rapid engine response, you'll feel the power immediately upon launch.

The silent force

The whisper-quiet motor and direct drive ensure the lowest possible noise level, allowing you to enjoy the peace and quiet on the water even more.

Sailing even longer

With an extra battery, you can go even further. They're quick and easy to swap out while on the go.

Important: the quality of the battery

Inside a lithium battery are a large number of cells. Their quality determines the final result, lifespan, and power output. Torqeedo uses strong, individually welded, high-quality cylindrical cells. They offer multiple protection and are equipped with an advanced battery management system (BMS). This is a significant difference compared to cheaper and more fragile pouch cell batteries, such as those used in mobile phones and laptops. These types of batteries are much more sensitive to heat, vibration, and shock than the cells used in our Torqeedo batteries.

Torqeedo Travel 603: The lightest in its class

A complete Torqeedo Travel 603 weighs just 15.5kg, and the battery even floats! The powerful Torqeedo Travel 1103 still weighs just 17.3kg. This makes both motors easy to install and transport or store. The battery and throttle are easily removed and everything fits into two handy and attractive bags.

Sustainable also means: made in Europe

All Torqeedo products are designed and manufactured in Germany. With reliable German engineering, they ensure a long service life. This is also sustainable: short transport routes from the factory to you, the customer.

This makes the Torqeedo Travel 603 unique: Built-in GPS module

The display shows not only the battery condition, power, and remaining cruising time, but also GPS speed and range. Via an optional Bluetooth transmitter and the free app, you can also see all this and the map position on your smartphone.

This is what makes the Torqeedo Travel 603 handy: The USB adapter

With the optional USB adapter plugged into the battery's charging port, you'll have instant power on board. This makes it easy to charge your smartphone, camera, or lights.

This makes the Torqeedo Travel 603 even greener: Versatile charging

A 220V charger adapter is included as standard, allowing you to charge the battery at home or in the harbor. Alternatively, you can use the special 12V cable for the mains power supply of a mothership. For an even more sustainable charge, use the optional 50W foldable solar panel, which connects directly to the battery.

There are also several charging options. In addition to the standard 220V charger, you can also use the optional 12V charging cable to charge via the mothership's onboard electrical system. For even more sustainable charging, you can purchase the 50W folding solar panel as an accessory. This connects directly to the battery and can even charge while sailing.

Electric propulsion systems in recreational boating

Benefits of electric motors? In short: Clean, quiet, low-maintenance, reliable, practical, super powerful, and a very predictable and controllable range. Want to know more? Be sure to read our blog post about electric boating and then our practical experiences with these beautiful products.

Electric motors can be divided into the following categories:

Inboard engines:

These are engines installed in boats to replace, for example, an existing marine diesel engine or to propel a sloop with a built-in engine. Propulsion is provided, for example, by a propeller shaft or sail drive, and the engine is usually installed lengthwise.

Outboard motors:

These are motors that are mounted, for example, on the stern (transom) of the boat. These motors are therefore more flexible because they are easily accessible and removable. When the voltage is 24 volts or higher, we call it an outboard motor.

Whispering motors:

Whisper motors are the lighter version of outboard motors, operating at voltages below 24 volts. They are often powered by an external 12V battery.

Pods:

These engines are mounted underneath the boat . This has the major advantage that the engine takes up no space inside the boat and is also invisible from the outside.

Water scooter:

Our water scooter is an electric-powered swimming board. When used in reverse, it also doubles as a water cannon. This isn't just a fun toy for young children, but also a very useful aid for less mobile swimmers.

SUP motor:

Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is becoming increasingly popular, but it's also a strenuous sport. However, by equipping the SUP with an auxiliary motor, covering long distances becomes much easier. Be sure to read our review of the ePropulsion Vaquita SUP motor .

Canoe or kayak motor:

Just like for the SUP, we also supply support motors for kayaks and canoes.
