The Torqeedo Travel XP R is the powerful 1600 W (5 HP) electric motor for boats with wheel controls . This “Remote” version is supplied without a tiller, but is prepared for connection to your steering system. Including remote control (throttle) and the heavy 1425 Wh battery .
Choose the correct shaft length for your boat:
Travel XP RS (Short shaft): For transoms up to ± 44 cm (Console boats, RIBs).
Travel XP RL (Longtail): For transoms > 44 cm (sloops, sailing boats with bun).

Do you own a sloop, console boat, or small RIB with a steering wheel? Then the Torqeedo Travel XP R (Remote) is the perfect electric motor for you. This model combines the enormous power of the XP series (1600 W / 5 HP equivalent) with the convenience of remote control.
Unlike standard models, the XP R doesn't have a tiller. Instead, you get an ergonomic throttle that mounts on your dashboard. This allows you to comfortably control the bike from the comfort of your armchair or from the helm.
The Travel XP R has been specially developed to make your wheel-driven boat fully electric, without the hassle of installation.
Plug & Play Steering Position: The motor can easily be connected to standard Teleflex steering systems.
5 HP Power: With 1600 W of power, it is powerful enough for heavier boats or sailing on open water.
Includes Throttle: The included remote control has a built-in display with GPS, so you can always see your speed and range.
The Torqeedo Travel XP R is available from Robust-MT as a variable product in two lengths. Measure the transom height of your boat to make the right choice:
The S version is suitable for boats with a transom height of 38 to 44 cm .
Commonly used for: Console boats, small RIBs and flat-bottomed boats.
The L version fits boats with a transom height of 44 to 55 cm .
Commonly used for: Classic sloops, boats with a bun and sailing boats where the engine remains permanently mounted.
