TS Mono-stable Relay MSR175A (12/24V)
Battery separators disconnect a battery in the event of a brief but high current surge. Sometimes, a battery separator will not connect a large, but uncharged, battery bank because the DC voltage immediately drops below the disconnect value once the batteries are connected. The TS Enovations Mono-stable Relay MSR175A (12/24V) automatically detects the system voltage and has no voltage drop. This battery separator is an excellent alternative to diode isolators. Its key feature is that voltage drop is virtually zero, eliminating the need to increase the output voltage of alternators or battery chargers. It is common to connect the alternator directly to the starter battery. The accessory battery, and possibly other batteries, are all connected to the starter battery using an MSR battery separator. When this relay detects that the starter battery has reached the connecting voltage, it ensures that all batteries are charged in parallel. This relay measures the voltage of both connected batteries. This relay also connects the batteries in parallel when, for example, the accessory battery is being charged by a battery charger. Not suitable for Euro 5/6 vehicles!
