This NEW TS Temp CAN.bus temperature sensor is an accessory specially developed for all models of TS Buck/Boost converters. The temperature is transmitted to the TS converter with a communication cable via the CAN bus communication ports. The TS Temp can also be used in combination with any Victron Multi or Quattro. This allows the charging current to be regulated if the temperature is too low. For LiFePO4 lithium systems, this sensor is necessary in many system applications, because LiFePO4 batteries should not be charged when they are too cold. Charging lithium batteries at or below freezing will cause permanent damage to the cells.
