Victron AGM Battery 12V/240Ah

Victron AGM Battery 12V/240Ah

The Victron 12V/240AH AGM battery is a closed battery with a capacity of 240ah based on VRLA technology. An AGM battery is also called multi-purphose or dual-purphose battery, and is suitable for both slow discharge and the brief delivery of high streams, for inverters, bow screws and winches. The battery connections are made of copper with holes for m8 bolts to guarantee good contact. Press cable eyes can be mounted directly on the battery, and batteries are not necessary. The batteries meet both the European CE and the American UL specifications in fire-proof ABS housings, and are supplied with the global 2-year warranty of Victron Energy. AGM stands for Absorbed Glass Mat In AGM batteries, the electrolyte is absorbed in a fiber optic mat that is clamped between the plates. In an AGM battery, the cargo carriers, hydrogen ions (H2) and Sulfaations (SO4) move more easily between the plates than in a gel battery. Vrla Technology VRLA stands for Valve Regulated Lead Acid. This means that the batteries are closed. Only as a result of incorrect loading and/or broken cells will gas escape via a safety valve. VRLA batteries are maintenance -free during their entire lifespan. Low self -discharge through the use of lead calcium grilles and very pure materials can effortlessly handle Victron Vrla batteries long periods without drawers. The self -discharge is less than 2% per month at a temperature of 20 ° C. This discharge speed doubles at every temperature increase of 10 ° C. Victron VrLa batteries can thus be stored for up to a year without having to be loaded again; Provided this happens at a relatively low temperature. Exceptional discharge repair Victron Vrla batteries are recovering very well, even after deep and long -term discharges. Nevertheless, repeatedly deeply and long -term discharging has a negative influence on the lifespan of all lead sulfuric batteries. Victron batteries are no exception. Battery discharge characteristics The nominal capacity of Victron 'Deep Cycle' batteries refers to a 20 -hour discharge (a discharge current of 0.05c). The nominal capacity of Victron Tubular Plate Long Life batteries refers to a 10 -hour discharge. The effective capacity decreases as the discharge current gets higher. Charging current The charging current of a VRLA battery may not exceed 0.2C (20A for a 100 AH battery). The temperature of a battery will increase by more than 10 ° C if the charging current exceeds 0.2C and then temperature compensation is necessary.
