The ARGO Diode 80-2 SC battery isolator allows two batteries to be charged with a single alternator, with a maximum alternator current of 80A. The compensation diode allows the alternator voltage to be slightly increased, thus compensating for the voltage drop. Thanks to the use of Schottky diodes, the voltage drop of the Argo isolators is very low: only 0.3V at low current and 0.45V at maximum current.
