Victron Battery Monitor BMV-712 Smart black
The BMV-712 battery monitor black Smart measures with very high precision within a supply voltage range of 6.5 – 70 VDC. The essential function of a battery monitor is to calculate the battery status and the number of ampere hours consumed. The BMV-712 battery monitor optionally displays battery voltage, current, ampere hours consumed, remaining battery capacity and time remaining. These last two parameters ensure that you can read the remaining battery capacity as precisely as on a petrol pump. An advanced backlight LCD screen clearly shows all values. Bluetooth built-in With the built-in Bluetooth, the BMV Smart is ready for the era of the Internet of Things (IoT). With Bluetooth implemented in most other Victron Energy products, wireless communication between the products will simplify system installation and improve performance. Download the Victron Bluetooth app Use a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device to: > adjust settings > monitor all important data on a single screen, > view historical data > update the software when new properties become available Easy to install All electrical connections are made via the printed circuit board with quick coupling on the current shunt. The shunt connects to the display with a standard RJ12 telephone cable. Included: RJ 12 cable (10 m) and battery cable with fuse (2 m); no further parts are needed. A separate washer for the appearance of the front of a square or round display, a retaining ring for rear mounting and screws for front mounting are also included. Midpoint Voltage Monitoring One bad cell or one bad battery can destroy a large, expensive battery bank. If batteries are connected in series, a timely warning can be generated by measuring the midpoint voltage. See the BMV manual, section 5.2, for more information. We recommend a Battery Balancer to maximize the life of the series-connected lead-acid batteries. Very low power consumption of the battery Power consumption: 0.7 Ah per month (1 mA) at 12V and 0.6 Ah per month (0.8mA) at 24V Lithium ion batteries in particular have virtually no remaining reserve capacity when discharged to the low-voltage shutdown . After shutdown due to low cell voltage, the remaining capacity of a lithium ion battery is approximately 1 Ah per 100 Ah of battery capacity. The battery will be damaged if the remaining reserve capacity is drained from the battery. For example, a residual current of 10 mA can damage a 200 Ah battery if the system remains in a discharged state for more than 8 days. Bi-stable alarm relay Prevents higher power consumption in the event of an alarm.
