Quality without compromise. Aluminum housing with epoxy powder coating; cover plate for condensation protection; stainless steel fasteners; electronics protected with acrylic lacquer: all measures that increase resistance to moisture, salt, soot, and chemicals. The chargers are also protected against high ambient temperatures: temperature sensors ensure that the charging current is regulated before damage from overheating can occur. Three-stage charging characteristic, with temperature compensation. The absorption period begins after the charging current has decreased to 70% of the nominal current. After 4 hours of absorption charging, the Centaur switches to float charge. The charging voltage is compensated with an internal temperature sensor (–2 mV/ºC per cell) and can be set with DIP switches for open lead-acid, gel, or AGM batteries.
