Victron Cyrix-Li-ct 12/24-120A combiner

The Cyrix-Li-ct 12/24 120A battery separator is a microprocessor-controlled relay with a maximum current of 120A for connecting and disconnecting systems with a LiFePO4 battery. The Cyrix-Li-ct establishes a parallel connection with a lead-acid starter battery and a LiFePO4 battery: – when the charge disconnect output voltage of the VE.Bus BMS is high, and – when 13.4V (resp. 26.8V) or more is detected at one of the power terminals. The Cyrix disconnects immediately: – when the control output voltage becomes 'free floating' and thus detects cell overvoltage or cell overtemperature, and/or – when the battery voltage drops below 13.2V. Start-up assistance function: a short positive pulse closes the relay for 30 seconds. A built-in overvoltage limiter limits the voltage spike that can occur if the Cyrix suddenly disconnects due to cell overvoltage or overtemperature. The LiFePO4 battery: preventing cell undervoltage, overvoltage, and overtemperature. The first protective measure is cell balancing. All Victron LiFePO4 batteries have integrated cell balancing. The second protective measure consists of: – switching off the load in the event of impending cell undervoltage, and – switching off or reducing the charging current in the event of impending cell overvoltage, overtemperature (>50°C), or undertemperature (<0°C). The VE.Bus BMS is the core of this second protective measure. However, not all loads or battery chargers can be controlled directly by the VE.Bus BMS. To switch off such loads or battery chargers, several Cyrix switches are available, controllable by the VE.Bus BMS.
