Victron Cyrix Lithium intelligent relay ct 12/24V-230A

The Cyrix-Li-ct 12/24 230A battery separator is a microprocessor-controlled relay for a maximum current of 230A for connecting and disconnecting systems with a LiFePO4 battery. The Cyrix-Li-ct makes a parallel connection with a lead-acid starter battery and a LiFePO4 battery: – if the charge disconnect output voltage of the VE.Bus BMS is high, and – if 13.4V (resp. 26.8V) or more at one of the power terminals. The Cyrix disconnects immediately: – if the control output voltage becomes 'free floating' and therefore detects cell overvoltage or cell overtemperature, and/or – if the battery voltage drops below 13.2V. Jump-start function: a short positive impulse closes the relay for 30 seconds. A built-in overvoltage limiter limits the voltage peak that can occur if the Cyrix suddenly disconnects due to cell overvoltage or overtemperature. The LiFePO4 battery: preventing cell undervoltage, overvoltage and overtemperature The first protective measure is cell balancing. All Victron LiFePO4 batteries have integrated cell balancing. The second protection measure consists of: – switching off the load in case of approaching cell undervoltage, and – switching off or reducing the charging current in case of approaching cell overvoltage, overtemperature (>50°C) or undertemperature (<0°C) . The VE.Bus BMS is the core of the second protection measure. However, not all loads or battery chargers can be controlled directly with the VE.Bus BMS. To switch off such loads or battery chargers, several Cyrix switches that can be controlled by the VE.Bus BMS are available.
