Developed with the Victron GlobalLink 520, it enables easy global connectivity of Victron systems via the 4G LTE-M network. How does the Victron GlobalLink 520LTE-M module work? The Victron GlobalLink 520LTE-M connects to Victron devices using one of the two VE.Direct ports. These devices exchange data with the online Victron Remote Management (VRM) cloud-based portal via an LTE-M SIM card and module. This data is then processed by a software application to perform a specific action, such as sending an alert or notification or automatically adjusting a sensor or device without user intervention. If user intervention is required, or if the user wants to view the system, a VRM portal can provide this. Easy system monitoring and control The GlobalLink 520 features two VE.Direct ports, allowing you to connect up to two VE.Direct devices, such as a BMV Battery Monitor and/or an MPPT Solar Charge Controller, directly to the VRM. With two digital inputs, which also function as pulse counters, and a remote controllable relay, it’s a perfect solution for monitoring and controlling your installation. Built-in antenna The GlobalLink 520 comes with a built-in antenna designed to work worldwide. However, if you require improved reception or want to install your module in a van, for example, an external antenna can be fitted. Victron remote management The online Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal gives you access to your installation from anywhere, anytime. In VRM, you can check the status of your connected products, view detailed energy history graphs, generate detailed analytical reports, and even configure automatic alarms in case something goes wrong. What is LTE-M technology? LTE-M stands for LTE Cat-M1, or Long Term Evolution (4G), category M1. LTE-M cellular technology is designed to transmit data quickly and efficiently, enabling the use of wireless Internet of Things applications anywhere. LTE-M supports data transfer and roaming, enabling connectivity in a moving vehicle such as an RV or boat. Coverage is increasing weekly as local carriers roll out support.
