Victron Skylla-TG 24/30 (1+1) GL 90-265V AC
This Skylla-TG GL battery charger for 24V systems has a charging current of 30A and an input voltage range of 90-265V AC. Skylla-TG battery chargers are microprocessor-controlled and can be used as a power supply. The 3-step charging process follows the IUoUo characteristic and is faster than other charging processes. The built-in battery voltage detection compensates for voltage loss due to cable resistance, and the included battery temperature sensor allows for temperature-compensated charging. Universal 90-265V AC input voltage range and also suitable for DC power supply. All models operate without adjustment for a 90 to 265V input voltage range, for both 50Hz and 60Hz. The chargers also accept a 90-400V DC power supply. Two outputs for charging two batteries. The TG chargers have two mutually isolated outputs. The second output, intended for charging a starter battery, is limited to 4 A and has a slightly lower output voltage. Increasing battery lifespan: Temperature Compensation: Every TG charger includes a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor ensures that the charging voltage decreases as the battery temperature rises. This is particularly important for maintenance-free batteries, which might otherwise dry out due to overcharging. Voltage Sensing: Measuring the charging voltage at the battery or at the DC distribution point: To compensate for voltage loss due to cable resistance, TG chargers are equipped with Voltage Sensing so that the battery always receives the correct charging voltage. Suitable for use as a power supply: Due to the perfectly stabilized output voltage, a TG charger can be used as a power supply when batteries or large buffer capacitors are not available. Germanischer Lloyd Approval: This charger series is approved by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) for environmental category C, EMC 1. Category C applies to weather-protected equipment. EMC 1 applies to conducted and radiated emission limits for equipment installed on a ship's bridge. Approval for GL C, EMC 1 implies that the chargers also meet the requirements of IEC 609452002, category "protected" and "equipment installed on a ship's bridge." GL certification applies to 185-265 V AC power supplies.
