Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/100-MC4 VE.Can (12/24/48V)
Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/100 12/24/36/48V is a solar charger for 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V systems (autoselect). The maximum nominal PV power transmitted by the solar charger at a 12V system voltage is 1450W, at a 24V system voltage it is 2900W, at a 36V system voltage it is 4350W, and at a 48V system voltage it is 5800W. The maximum PV no-load voltage of this solar charger is 150V. The SmartSolar solar charge controllers have a programmable battery charging algorithm and built-in Bluetooth Smart as standard to set the solar charger and monitor solar yield. With VE.Can or Bluetooth, up to 25 solar chargers can be put in series and connected to a Color Control GX or other GX device. Each Controller can be managed individually, for example with a smartphone or iPad (Bluetooth) or with a Color Control GX (VE.Can) and possibly also on the VRM website. Bluetooth Smart built-in: no dongle required The wireless solution to set up, monitor and update the controller via Apple or Android smartphones, tablets or other devices. VE.Direct For a wired data connection to a Color Control panel, Venus GX, PC or other devices. Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Especially when it is cloudy and light intensity is constantly changing, an ultra-fast MPPT controller improves energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers. Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection in case of changing shade In case of changing shade, the power-voltage curve may contain two or more maximum power points. Conventional MPPTs usually utilize local MPP, which may not be the optimal MPP. The innovative BlueSolar algorithm always maximizes energy yield by utilizing the optimal MPP. BatteryLife: intelligent battery management If a solar charge controller cannot fully recharge the battery in one day, the result is often that the battery constantly fluctuates between 'partially charged' and 'fully discharged'. This condition (no regular full charge) will cause a lead-acid battery to become irreparably damaged within weeks or months. The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and, if necessary, increases the load disconnection level slightly from day to day (by disconnecting the load earlier) until the harvested solar energy is sufficient to charge the battery to almost full 100% to charge. From then on, the load disconnect level is modulated so that the battery is charged to almost 100% approximately once a week. Programmable battery charging algorithm The charge controller starts a new charging cycle every morning, as soon as the sun starts to shine, based on a three-step charging process: Bulk – Absorption – Float. The battery charging algorithm is programmable with a set of default settings or user-defined settings. Internal temperature sensor Compensates absorption and float charge voltages for temperature. Remote on-off For example, for connection to a VE.BUS BMS. Programmable relay Can be programmed (including via a smartphone) to be activated by an alarm or other events. Optional: connectable LC display To do this, remove the rubber seal that protects the plug on the front of the controller and connect the display to it.
