The Victron VE.Bus BMS NG is the latest generation Battery Management System (BMS) from Victron Energy, specifically designed to monitor and protect Victron Lithium NG (LiFePO4) batteries. The VE.Bus BMS NG has been developed for full integration with Victron VE.Bus products such as the MultiPlus, Quattro, and EasySolar. The module automatically switches off inverters or chargers when values deviate from these values, and can be connected to external signaling or relays for additional system protection. Based on the status of the Lithium NG battery, the BMS will: • Provide a pre-alarm to indicate an impending cell low voltage • When the cell voltage is too low, switch off the connected VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers via VE.Bus and switch off other loads via the 'Load (disconnect)' terminal. • Disable VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers in case of cell overvoltage, undertemperature, or overtemperature, disable VE.Bus, VE.Direct and VE.Can PV chargers via a GX device, and disable other chargers via the “Charge (disconnect)” terminal. This module is essential for the safe operation of Victron Lithium NG systems in combination with high-powered inverter/charger combinations. Ideal for applications in campervans, boats, off-grid homes and industrial installations. Key Product Features: Compatible with Victron NG Lithium LiFePO4 batteries Protects against over/undervoltage, over/undertemperature Control of VE.Bus inverters via communication cable Suitable for professional energy management Feature summary: • Bluetooth Smart: The VE.Bus BMS NG features Bluetooth Smart enabling wireless set-up, monitoring and firmware updates via the VictronConnect app. Instant Readout shows important data such as charge status, battery temperature, warnings and alarms directly in the device list without having to connect. • Load Disconnect Output: Controls the remote on/off input of a BatteryProtect, inverters, DC-DC converters, or other loads with remote on/off functionality. With a maximum output current of 1 A, it can even drive a high current relay or a contactor. Note that a non-inverting or inverting on/off cable may be required, consult the manual. • Charge (Disconnect) Output: Controls the remote on/off port of chargers such as the Smart Charger IP43, a Cyrix-Li-Charge relay, a Cyrix-Li-ct battery combiner, or a BatteryProtect. Note that the Charge output is not suitable for powering an inductive load such as a relay coil. • Pre-alarm output: Initiates a visual or audible warning when the battery voltage is low, which remains active for at least 30 seconds before the Load disconnect output is switched off due to low cell voltage. Can drive a relay, LED, or buzzer. Maximum output current: 1 A (not short-circuit protected). • Remote on/off terminal: Allows remote control of the Load and Charge outputs. When disabled, both outputs become free-floating, shutting down connected loads and chargers. • LED indicators: The VE.Bus BMS NG has two LEDs: a blue LED for Bluetooth status, a red LED for warnings and alarm errors, and a VE.Bus status LED. • Communication with VE.Bus products: MultiPlus, Quattro, or inverters connect to the 'MultiPlus/Quattro' port using a standard RJ45 UTP cable. The BMS will switch off the inverter in the event of a cell being under-voltaged and will switch off charging in the event of a cell being over-voltaged or over-temperature. • Communication with remote devices: A GX device (such as a Cerbo GX), Digital Multi Control (DMC) panel, or a VE.Bus Smart dongle (including any combination) can be connected to the BMS via the “Remote panel” port. These accessories can all be used in conjunction with the BMS to remotely change the VE.Bus inverter or inverter/charger status (on/off/charger only). • Additional power input and output terminals
