WaterWorld battery loose
The WaterWorld battery pack must be supplemented with a charger (15A for 1 or 2 batteries and 35A for 3 or 4 batteries), necessary data cables and battery link when used with a WaterWorld set, but can also be used for other services.
Wonderfully quiet sailing
Electric boating always brings peace of mind, but WaterWorld's inboard motors are exceptionally quiet. Thanks to the silent motor and direct drive without gears, you'll hear almost nothing. These motors come complete with a controller, touchscreen display, throttle, ignition key, and relay.
Super efficient – Affordable and longer sailing
The WaterWorld inboard motor is so efficient that it produces very little heat. Therefore, no water cooling is required! This simplifies installation, eliminates the risk of clogging, and minimizes maintenance. Once on the water, another major advantage is your extended boating experience.
Suitable for intensive and professional use
The WaterWorld systems are also used in charter ships, tour boats, and work boats. The robust motors, which can also continuously deliver maximum power, make this possible. The same applies to the batteries, which can withstand up to 3,000 cycles while retaining virtually all of their energy.
The WaterWorld inboard benefits
- Quiet and clean; the silent motor drives the axle without gears
- Sail longer; thanks to efficient technology you get the maximum distance from your batteries
- Reliable; you can rely on proven Dutch technology
- Easy to install with the adjustable engine mounts, which fit most existing foundations
- Engine and electronics in one, air-cooled. Water cooling is unnecessary. Affordable; it can replace diesel without much extra cost.
The Engines
WaterWorld offers a range of inboard motors ranging from 4 to 20 kW, suitable for motorboats and sailboats up to 12 meters. A 3.5 kW pod motor is also available in a fixed or steerable configuration. These motors are the modern alternative to the traditional diesel engine.

When choosing your engine, keep in mind that every boat is different. A sleek, lightweight boat, for example, will sail more efficiently than a wide or heavy one. The sailing area is also important. A lighter engine can be used for sailing in sheltered waters and for shorter distances than for sailing in open water. Always consult your dealer for advice.
WaterWorld Inboard hybrid setup
The WaterWorld systems can also function perfectly in a hybrid configuration. This can be achieved in a parallel hybrid configuration, with a diesel engine and WaterWorld both driving the propeller shaft, or in a series hybrid configuration with a generator as a range extender. Ask us about the possibilities.
Electric propulsion systems in recreational boating
Benefits of electric motors? In short: Clean, quiet, low-maintenance, reliable, practical, super powerful, and a very predictable and controllable range. Want to know more? Be sure to read our
blog post about electric boating and then our
practical experiences with these beautiful products.
Electric motors can be divided into the following categories:
|
|
These are engines installed in boats to replace, for example, an existing marine diesel engine or to propel a sloop with a built-in engine. Propulsion is provided, for example, by a propeller shaft or sail drive, and the engine is usually installed lengthwise. |
|
|
These are motors that are mounted, for example, on the stern (transom) of the boat. These motors are therefore more flexible because they are easily accessible and removable. When the voltage is 24 volts or higher, we call it an outboard motor. |
|
|
Whisper motors are the lighter version of outboard motors, operating at voltages below 24 volts. They are often powered by an external 12V battery. |
|
|
These engines are mounted underneath the boat . This has the major advantage that the engine takes up no space inside the boat and is also invisible from the outside. |

Our water scooter is an electric-powered swimming board. When used in reverse, it also doubles as a water cannon. This isn't just a fun toy for young children, but also a very useful aid for less mobile swimmers. |
|
|
Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is becoming increasingly popular, but it's also a strenuous sport. However, by equipping the SUP with an auxiliary motor, covering long distances becomes much easier. Be sure to read our review of the ePropulsion Vaquita SUP motor . |

Just like for the SUP, we also supply support motors for kayaks and canoes. |
