Experience unprecedented power and silence with the WaterWorld Pod 18.0

The WaterWorld Pod 18.0 (19.8 kW input) is the absolute powerhouse in our electric pod motor range. This system takes electric boating to a whole new level. The motor combines raw power with the refined silence you've come to expect from WaterWorld. Because this pod is mounted directly beneath the hull, the entire interior of your boat remains available for interior design or storage. There's no need for large engine boxes or long propeller shafts running through the boat. From the outside, you'll see only a streamlined unit, while inside you'll enjoy peace and quiet.

You have complete freedom in the configuration. We supply the Pod 18.0 in a fixed configuration for course stability or in a steerable version for maximum maneuverability. It's also possible to combine the pod with a rudder and pivot point (see image), creating an integrated steering and propulsion solution perfectly suited to your specific vessel.

  • Nominal speed: 1500 rpm

  • Nominal voltage: 48 Volt

  • Suitable for: Larger vessels up to approximately 12 metres in length or 10 tonnes in displacement.

  • Dimensions: 726 x 206 x 370 mm (lxwxh)

  • Weight: 71 kg

  • Communication: CANopen

  • Regeneration possible: Yes

  • Mounting: Fixed and steerable (also as pod + rudder + pivot point)

Super efficient with full control

Despite its high power, the WaterWorld Pod 18.0 remains extremely efficient. The hydrodynamic design minimizes underwater resistance, while the powerful propeller converts torque directly into thrust. You'll notice this immediately in the boat's handling: the boat responds powerfully and directly, without delay. This allows you to maneuver large vessels with surprising ease, even in tight harbors. A key advantage for sailors and long-distance cruisers is the regeneration function . While sailing, the propeller acts as a generator, allowing you to recover energy and recharge your battery pack while underway. This increases your range and makes you less dependent on shore power.

WaterWorld Pod 18.0: Built for heavy duty

This pod isn't just any electric motor; it's an industrially engineered system for intensive, professional use. WaterWorld motors are frequently used in commercial shipping, such as water taxis, workboats, and large charter vessels. Their robust construction can deliver continuous maximum power without overheating. The housing is designed to withstand harsh conditions and has a long service life. Choosing a matching high-quality battery pack creates a drivetrain that will perform reliably for years, with minimal maintenance and maximum uptime.

A complete system with tailor-made advice

We supply the WaterWorld Pod 18.0 as a fully integrated system. You'll receive not only the engine but also the complete control system: an advanced controller, a robust throttle, an ignition switch, and a clear color display. This display, along with CANopen communication, provides continuous insight into consumption, temperature, and remaining capacity. For even greater ease of use, you can connect the system to the WaterWorld Dashboard App (iOS).

Given the power and forces generated by this engine, proper installation is crucial. Hull shape, weight, and intended cruising area determine the ideal setup. Therefore, always contact us. We're happy to personally advise you on the correct installation, propeller selection, and battery capacity for your project.

WaterWorld Electronics

Electric boating is possible with our inboard electric motors from WaterWorld. With these electric motors, you can sail 100% electric or hybrid in complete peace and quiet. Suitable for motorboats and sailboats up to 10 meters in length or 7.5 tons. The WaterWorld motor is so efficient that it produces very little heat. Therefore, no water cooling is required! This simplifies installation, eliminates the risk of clogging, and minimizes maintenance. Once on the water, another major advantage becomes apparent: you can sail your boat even longer.

Suitable for intensive professional use

The WaterWorld systems are also used in charter ships, tour boats, and work boats. The robust motors, which can also continuously deliver maximum power, make this possible. The same applies to the batteries, which can withstand up to 3,000 cycles while retaining virtually all of their energy.

A completely integrated system

All WaterWorld components (engine, controller, batteries, display, and throttle) work seamlessly together via a CAN data connection. You always have the necessary information on your display about the condition of the engine and batteries, and the remaining range. And when you use the complete system, you also get a 3-year warranty; peace of mind.

Hybrid as an option

The WaterWorld systems can also function perfectly in a hybrid configuration. This can be achieved in either a parallel hybrid configuration, with a diesel and WaterWorld engine both driving the propeller shaft, or in a series hybrid configuration with a generator as a range extender. Please ask us about the possibilities.

Sustainable also means: 🇳🇱 Made in Holland

The WaterWorld systems are manufactured in our own country by the skilled workers of WaterWorld Electronics. And not in low-wage countries far away. This means no transport of products halfway around the world and a point of contact and service nearby.
