Electric propulsion sailing boat
Robust-MT Marine Technology BV is the expert in electrically powered sailboats. Besides the world's first electric cabin catamaran, we have also equipped an ocean-going sailor and a classic Hollandse Schouw with electric propulsion.
We are the sole supplier of electric motors for the Sea Scouts of Scouting Nederland and have been able to equip various sailing boats and dinghies with outboard motors.
We can also equip your sailboat with an electric propulsion system. If your boat is trailerable, we can do this at our workshop in Monster . For larger vessels, you can visit our branch locations in Woubrugge or Stellendam.
I can tell you it's truly fantastic sailing. We did a three-day trip. We sailed very relaxed on 700W and continued smoothly on 1000W. Plenty of power, with a total of 4000W available.
She stops smoothly in reverse, and the propeller handles the power perfectly. It all runs beautifully.
We sailed a lot, and we didn't notice the larger propeller at all. Over three days of sailing with three overnight stays, we used 3kWh. So, half a battery.

Converting your sailboat?
It doesn't matter whether you have an inboard motor with a shaft or saildrive, or whether your boat is better suited for a pod motor or an outboard motor. Not only can we supply it all, we've also installed it all, making us arguably the true electric propulsion specialist for sailboats.
