Hiswa 2024: a first for Robust-MT and a first for our Robbie

Hiswa 2024. Thanks to our friends from De Stille Boot, we were able to participate in the Hiswa te water . From August 28 to September 1 we were guests in the beautiful Bataviahaven in Lelystad. First take a look at our summary.

Hiswa 2024 was a huge success for us, but also a very educational experience. To start with, it was a wonderful event and well organised. The weather was great, the atmosphere was great and our Robbie was in the spotlight as the smallest and most affordable electric sloop at the fair.

The preparation also went smoothly and we were so happy that we had already brought the boat on Sunday. After Sunday, September 1, it seemed like it would be a night job, but actually it went very smoothly. We got home by boat around 10:00 PM and we really didn't expect that.

We will participate again next year and we will do a few things differently:

  • Driving up and down is impossible, next time we will stay nearby
  • It is advisable to bring your own food, as 5 days of festival food is bad for your intestines and your wallet
  • We handed out stacks of business cards, but we would have been better off registering a fraction of that number of phone numbers
