For the Young Solar Challenge 2025, Robust-MT Marine Technology BV helped two schools complete their solar boats. Students received internships with us, working under supervision to equip their own boats with a robust electrical (propulsion) system.
ISW Hoogeland 's Young Solar 2025 was a boat from a year earlier. The wiring had become a mess, making it impossible to maintain and unreliable. Intern Bruce, with our assistance, drew up a plan for the electrical system on-site and built and delivered it in accordance with the plan.
Segbroek College Young Solar 2025 was a new boat. This allowed us to build the electrical system from scratch. We were able to reuse some parts from previous boats, while others were purchased new. Ties and Cosmo had a great time working on their beautiful boat for a few days.
Although the season didn't go as planned due to problems with the batteries provided by the organizers, we were still able to end it on a wonderful note with a communal BBQ on the Westland waters under a beautiful sun.
Robust-MT Marine Technology BV is located in Monster on the edge of the water-rich Westland . Located in South Holland between Rotterdam and The Hague, but also near Delft and the North Sea. Our showroom and workshop are also located on a main waterway. We also have a berth on the Haringvliet, near Zeeland, where we can also arrange trial runs. We also work with a renowned yacht builder and shipyard in Woubrugge near Amsterdam and North Holland. This location also has its own port, a large crane as well as a heated and unheated warehouse.
