MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 Compact Applications For motorhomes, yachts, and work vans with limited installation space and a somewhat heavier 230V requirement. Delivers 1000W continuous and 2400W peak from a 12V battery bank, charges at 50A, and takes over the load within 20 milliseconds in the event of a shore power outage. Pure sine wave inverter with UPS function. If the grid, shore power, or generator fails, the inverter switches on automatically and takes over the connected load. This happens within 20 milliseconds, allowing computers and other electronics to continue operating uninterrupted. * 1200VA / 1000W continuous at 25°C, 900W at 40°C, 600W at 65°C * 2400W peak power for loads with high inrush current * 230V AC ±2%, 50Hz ±0.1%, adjustable to 60Hz * Protected against short circuit, overload, and overheating Adaptive 4-stage battery charger The main output charges the battery bank with a maximum of 50A via adaptive charging software: bulk, absorption, and float, supplemented by a fourth stage for long-term maintenance charging. A second battery is charged via the separate 4A trickle charge output. * Absorption 14.4V, float 13.8V, storage mode 13.2V * Connection for battery temperature sensor * Charger AC input range 187 – 265V AC, 45 – 65Hz PowerControl Use a control panel to set the maximum generator or shore power. The charging current is automatically reduced as soon as other consumers draw on the available power, so that the connection does not become overloaded. PowerAssist In the event of short-term peak load, power from the battery bank immediately supplements the insufficient shore or generator power. As soon as the load drops, the surplus is used again to charge the battery bank. Parallel and 3-phase Multiple identical units can be connected in parallel for higher power output. Three identical units can be configured as a 3-phase system, configurable with VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator. Low no-load consumption: search mode and AES The self-consumption at no-load is 8W. In search mode, this drops to 2W: the inverter switches on briefly and remains on only as long as the output current stays above the set level. In AES (Automatic Economy Switch) mode, consumption drops to 5W by narrowing the sine wave voltage; AES only works in a stand-alone setup and cannot be configured using DIP switches. Programmable relay Set by default as an alarm relay for alarm or pre-alarm, for example in the event of excessive temperature, excessive ripple voltage at the input, or low battery voltage. Can also be configured for DC undervoltage or generator start/stop. Switching capacity 230V/4A AC, 4A up to 35V DC, and 1A up to 60V DC. Configuration For a stand-alone setup, the settings can be changed within a few minutes using the DIP switches. For all other settings, use VE.Configure via the MK3-USB interface, or VictronConnect in combination with the VE.Bus Smart dongle. Off-grid, grid-connected, and self-consumption applications are configured with assistants. Remote monitoring and control. In combination with a GX communication center, you monitor and operate the system locally via LAN or remotely via the internet, using the free app and the VRM Portal – Victron Energy (https://vrm.victronenergy.com/landingpage). Access from a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or PC, and settings can also be adjusted remotely.
