MultiPlus 12/3000/120-16 Applications For larger 12 V installations in yachts, motorhomes, and work vehicles: one device for inverting, charging, and switching, with a second AC output for heavy consumers that must not drain the battery bank as soon as shore power fails. Inverting and charging in one device Pure sine wave inverter, adaptive four-stage charger, and fast AC switch in a single aluminum housing. Continuous power 2400 W at 25 °C, 2200 W at 40 °C, and 1700 W at 65 °C, with a peak power of 6000 W. Charging of house and starter battery * House battery charging current 120 A, starter battery charging current 4 A * Absorption 14.4 V, trickle 13.8 V, storage mode 13.2 V * Battery temperature sensor included as standard Two AC outputs The main output is uninterruptible. The 16 A auxiliary output switches off as soon as no external AC source is available and is therefore intended for heavy consumers such as a water heater, which must not discharge the battery bank. Uninterruptible switching: In the event of a loss of mains, shore, or generator power, the inverter takes over the load within 20 milliseconds, ensuring that computers and other electronics continue to operate undisturbed. PowerControl: Set the maximum shore or generator current via the control panel. The device charges only with the remaining current in addition to the other consumers, so that the connection does not become overloaded. PowerAssist: Short-term peaks exceeding the shore or generator current are immediately replenished from the battery bank. When the load drops again, the surplus is used for recharging. Search Mode and AES * Search Mode reduces idle power consumption from 20 W to approximately 8 W * AES (Automatic Economy Switch) reduces idle and low-load power consumption to approximately 15 W * AES is only applicable in a stand-alone configuration Programmable relay Standard configuration as an alarm relay: the relay trips upon an alarm or pre-alarm, for example due to excessive temperature, excessive input ripple voltage, or low battery voltage. The relay can also be used for generator start/stop. Parallel and 3-phase operation Up to six units can be connected in parallel for higher power output. Additionally, three identical units can be configured for a 3-phase output. Communication takes place via the VE.Bus port; a general-purpose communication port is also available.
