MultiPlus 48/3000/35-50 Applications The 50 A transfer current makes this model suitable for installations with a heavy shore connection or generator: yachts, workboats, mobile workshops, and off-grid or emergency power systems where substantial AC throughput is required in addition to inversion and charging. Sine wave inverter, battery charger, and transfer switch Pure sine wave inverter, advanced battery charger with adaptive charging technology, and a super-fast AC transfer switch in a single housing. The high starting power handles inrush currents from, for example, LED drivers, halogen lighting, and power tools. Proven reliability The full-bridge plus toroidal transformer topology has proven itself for years in professional installations. The inverter is short-circuit resistant and protected against overheating, whether caused by overload or high ambient temperature. Uninterrupted AC power In the event of a grid failure or the loss of shore or generator power, the inverter takes over the connected loads within 20 milliseconds, ensuring that computers and other electronics continue to operate. Two AC outputs. The main output operates uninterrupted. The 16 A auxiliary output is only active as long as AC voltage is present on an input and is intended for loads that must not discharge the battery bank, such as a water heater. PowerControl and PowerAssist. A maximum shore or generator current is set using the control panel. The MultiPlus takes other AC loads into account and uses only the residual power to charge. PowerAssist supplements short-term peaks with power from the battery bank and recharges it as soon as the load decreases. Parallel and three-phase. Up to six units in parallel; three identical units form a three-phase system. Up to six of these sets can be connected in parallel up to 75 kW / 90 kVA with a charging capacity of more than 2000 A. Adaptive battery charger. Four-step adaptive charging characteristic with absorption 57.6 V, trickle 55.2 V, and storage mode 52.8 V. The battery charging current is 35 A down to an ambient temperature of 25 °C. The battery temperature sensor is included; not the 35mm² or 2x 16mm² battery cables. Search mode and AES In search mode, no-load consumption drops by approximately 70%: the inverter switches off at no or very low load and briefly switches on every two seconds. Alternatively, AES mode reduces no-load and low-load consumption by approximately 20% by narrowing the sinusoidal voltage. AES cannot be configured using DIP switches and only works in a standalone setup. Solar energy and grid-connected use Suitable for self-sufficient and grid-connected PV installations and other alternative energy systems. Software for grid loss detection is available. Configuration and monitoring Standalone settings can be changed using DIP switches; parallel and three-phase systems are configured using VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator. On-site monitoring via battery monitor, control panel, GX device, Bluetooth, or laptop; remotely via a GX device and the VRM Portal – Victron Energy (https://vrm.victronenergy.com/landingpage).
