MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-32 Applications Developed for energy storage and self-consumption in homes, commercial buildings, and professional vehicles. The built-in islanding protection and the optional external current sensor enable grid-connected setups with solar power and battery bank. Inversion and charging in a single device Pure sine wave inverter, adaptive four-stage charger, and fast AC converter in a single steel housing. Continuous output 2400 W at 25 °C, 2200 W at 40 °C, and 1700 W at 65 °C, with a peak output of 5500 W. ESS: Energy Storage and Self-Consumption This is the core component of a Victron ESS. The device combines freely with MPPT solar chargers and grid-connected PV inverters, and features built-in islanding protection for grid-connected installations. The ESS Design and Installation manual applies to the system configuration. External current sensor With the optional external AC current sensor, PowerControl and PowerAssist are expanded, and self-consumption is optimized based on external current measurement. The sensor is ordered separately. Charging the battery bank * Charging current 120 A with adaptive charging technology * Absorption 14.4 V, trickle 13.8 V, storage mode 13.2 V * Battery temperature sensor included as standard with the 12 V version Two AC outputs The main output is uninterruptible. The 32 A auxiliary output switches off as soon as no AC is available at the input and is intended for heavy consumers such as a water heater, which must not discharge the battery bank. Uninterruptible switching In the event of a mains failure or loss of shore or generator power, the inverter takes over the load within 20 milliseconds, allowing computers and other electronics to continue operating undisturbed. PowerControl and PowerAssist Set the maximum mains or generator current: the device uses only what remains for charging, in addition to the other consumers. If the load briefly exceeds that limit, the battery bank immediately replenishes the charge and recharges it afterwards. Economical at no load * No-load consumption 13 W * In AES mode approx. 9 W * In Search Mode approx. 3 W Programmable relay Default configured as an alarm relay: the relay trips in the event of an alarm or pre-alarm. It is also configurable for DC undervoltage or generator start/stop. Load capacity 230 V/4 A AC and 4 A up to 35 VDC. Parallel and 3-phase operation Up to six units can be connected in parallel. Additionally, three identical units can be configured for a 3-phase output, and up to six of those sets can be coupled in parallel. Communication takes place via the VE.Bus port; in addition, two general-purpose communication ports are available.
