MultiPlus-II 48/3000/35-32 GX Applications Designed for energy storage, off-grid, and grid-connected PV installations where additional interfacing and remote monitoring are required. One device that inverts, charges, and communicates: suitable for home and commercial batteries, workboats, and mobile systems. Integrated communication center The built-in GX device displays battery, inverter, and solar charger parameters on a 2 x 16-character screen. The same parameters can be retrieved via Wi-Fi using a smartphone or other Wi-Fi device. * BMS-Can for a compatible CAN-bus managed battery (no VE.Can compatible port) * Ethernet port * VE.Direct port * USB port * VE.Bus port for parallel and three-phase operation, monitoring, and system integration * 2x general-purpose communication ports PowerControl and PowerAssist The maximum grid or generator current is adjustable. The charging current is automatically regulated to prevent the shore connection or generator from becoming overloaded. During peak load, PowerAssist supplements the deficit with power from the battery bank; when the load drops, the remaining power is used to charge the battery bank. With the optional external current sensor, this function continues up to 100 A. ESS and solar energy The MultiPlus-II is the basis of a Victron ESS and combines with MPPT solar chargers or grid-connected PV inverters. Excess PV power charges the battery bank or is fed back into the grid; in the event of a deficit, the battery bank or the grid makes up the difference. In the event of a power outage, the device disconnects from the grid and continues to power the loads. Uninterrupted AC power In the event of a power outage or the loss of shore or generator power, the inverter takes over the power supply within 20 milliseconds, ensuring that computers and other electronics continue to operate undisturbed. Two AC outputs The main output operates uninterrupted. The 32 A auxiliary output is only active when AC voltage is present on the AC input and is intended for loads that must not discharge the battery bank, such as a water heater. Parallel and three-phase: Up to six units in parallel for increased power; three identical units form a three-phase system. Only one GX unit is required per system, so in a parallel or three-phase configuration, the remaining positions are filled with the standard MultiPlus-II. Adaptive battery charger: Four-step adaptive charging characteristic with absorption 57.6 V, trickle 55.2 V, and storage mode 52.8 V. The battery charging current is 35 A down to an ambient temperature of 25 °C. The battery temperature sensor is not included with the 48V models; it can be ordered separately under ASS000001000. Configuration and monitoring: Setup is done using VEConfigure or VictronConnect via an MK3 USB interface. Remote monitoring and configuration is possible via the VRM Portal – Victron Energy (https://vrm.victronenergy.com/landingpage) and the VRM app for iOS and Android. The programmable relay can be configured as a general alarm or pre-alarm, DC undervoltage, or generator start/stop.
