Four kW continuous, 6 kW momentary, and a transfer within 20 ms keep critical groups operational, even when the grid fails or the generator still needs to start. Inverter and battery charger in one housing A 4 kW continuous pure sine wave inverter, a 55 A adaptive battery charger, and a 32 A transfer switch. The model features built-in island protection and an external current sensor option that allows PowerControl and PowerAssist to extend beyond the input current. Power with time window * 4 kW continuous at 25 °C, 3.7 kW at 40 °C, and 3 kW at 65 °C. * Time-limited 4.5 kW for 2 hours and 6 kW for 25 minutes (cold start). * Peak power 7 kW for 1 minute, for loads with a high inrush current. Two AC outputs * AC-out-1 is uninterruptible: in the event of a power outage, the inverter takes over the load within 20 ms, ensuring that computers and other electronics continue to run. * AC-out-2 (32 A) is only active as long as AC voltage is present at the input. Suitable for a water heater or air conditioning unit that must not discharge the battery bank. PowerControl and PowerAssist A maximum mains or generator current can be set; the MultiPlus-II charges only with the remaining current, thus preventing overloading of the connection. PowerAssist supplements short-term peaks from the battery bank and recharges as the load decreases. With the optional external AC current sensor (up to 100 A), self-consumption can be further optimized and feed-in limited. ESS and Solar Energy The model is the core component of a Victron ESS installation and works in conjunction with MPPT charge controllers and grid-connected PV inverters, both off-grid and grid-connected. Self-consumption, backup, and charging during low electricity prices can be combined; the maximum apparent feed-in power is 4 kW.
