MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 230V Applications The basis of virtually every 48 V energy storage system: home batteries, commercial buildings, emergency power, and self-sufficient installations. Also suitable for maritime and mobile applications with heavy loads and limited shore or generator power. PowerControl and PowerAssist Set the maximum grid, shore, or generator current; charging only takes place using the remaining current, so that the source does not become overloaded. During short-term peaks, the battery bank immediately replenishes the deficit, and the reserve capacity is then used again for charging. With the optional external AC current sensor, the measuring range can be extended to 100 A. ESS and solar energy Core component of a Victron ESS installation, with built-in islanding protection. Can be combined with MPPT solar chargers and grid-connected PV inverters for self-consumption, backup, and charging during low electricity prices. Maximum apparent power 5000 VA. Two AC outputs. The main output operates uninterrupted and takes over within 20 milliseconds in the event of a mains failure or loss of shore or generator power. The 50 A auxiliary output is only energized as long as AC voltage is present at the input; intended for loads that must not discharge the battery bank, such as a water heater. Battery charger. Adaptive charging with absorption 57.6 V, trickle charging 55.2 V, and storage mode 52.8 V, with a charging current of up to 70 A. The charging algorithm can be adapted using VEConfigure for lead-acid, AGM, gel, and lithium, among others. The battery temperature sensor is not included with the 48 V version; it can be ordered separately under ASS000001000. Parallel and 3-phase operation. Up to six units in parallel: six 48/5000/70 units together deliver 25 kW / 30 kVA with a 420 A charging capacity. Three units of the same model form a 3-phase system, and up to six such sets can be connected in parallel, providing 75 kW / 90 kVA and a load capacity of over 1200 A. Low self-consumption. No-load power 18 W, 12 W in AES mode, and 2 W in search mode. Programmable relay. Configurable for general alarm, DC undervoltage, or aggregate start/stop. Load capacity 230 V / 4 A AC, 4 A up to 35 V DC, and 1 A up to 60 V DC. Configuration, monitoring, and control. Setup using VEConfigure via the MK3 USB interface or the VictronConnect app. Available options for monitoring and control include a Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX communication center, a Digital Multi Control panel, a battery monitor, and the VE.Bus Smart dongle.
