Quattro 48/5000/70-100/100 120V VE.BAN (UL)
The Quattro 48/5000/70 combines a powerful pure sine wave inverter with a power of 5000 VA (4000 Watt), an advanced battery charger with 70 Ampere adaptive charging technology, and a double super-fast AC changeover switch in a single compact metal housing. Quattros are equipped with two (2) AC inputs to which various 120V power sources can be connected and automatically switched to priority. This Quattro is supplied without the required 70mm² or 2x 35mm² cables and has four (4) M8 bolts (2 positive and 2 negative connections) for the battery connection. All Quattro models in this series are equipped with PowerControl and PowerAssist functionality. All models are also suitable for three-phase and parallel connection. This model has a maximum switching current of 2x 100A. Victron Energy inverter/battery chargers are designed for professional use. They are suitable for a variety of devices with high and low starting powers. The Quattro is a multifunctional energy system with sine wave inverter, battery charger and AC changeover switches for two AC inputs. The batteries are charged safely, even if the quality of the power supply is low. Proven reliability The full bridge plus toroidal transformer topology has proven itself to be very reliable for many years. The inverter is short-circuit resistant and protects against overheating, whether this occurs as a result of overload or high ambient temperature. PowerControl – Maximize use of limited generator, shore or mains power The Quattro is a very powerful battery charger. This means a heavy load on the generator or shore connection (up to 16A per 5kVA Quattro at 230VAC). A current limit can be set for each AC input. The Quattro then takes other power consumers into account and only uses the power that is 'left' for charging, so that the generator or shore connection is not overloaded. PowerAssist – Do more with your generator or shore power This function adds an extra dimension to the PowerControl principle because the Quattro supplements the capacity of the alternative source. Where peak power is often only needed for a short period of time, the Quattro ensures that insufficient mains or generator power is immediately compensated with power from the battery. When the load decreases, the reserve power is used to recharge the battery. High start-up power Required to start loads with high inrush current, such as voltage converters for LED lamps, halogen lamps or power tools. Automatic and interruption-free switching (UPS function) If the power goes out or if the power supply via shore or a generator is interrupted, the inverter in the Quattro is automatically activated to provide the power supply to the connected loads. This happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices can continue to function undisturbed. Two AC inputs with integrated changeover switch The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC sources, for example the mains and a generator, or two generators. The Quattro automatically switches to the active source. Two AC outputs The main output has uninterruptible functionality. The Quattro takes over the power supply of the connected loads in the event of a power failure or if the generator/shore power is interrupted. This happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices can continue to function undisturbed. The second output only becomes active if alternating voltage is available at one of the inputs of the Quattro. Loads that should not discharge the battery, such as a boiler, can be connected to this output. Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel connection. Up to 6 Quattro units can be connected in parallel. For example, with six 48/10000/140 units an output power of 48kW / 60kVA with 840A charging capacity can be achieved. Three-phase switching Three units can be configured for three-phase output. But that's not all: up to 6 sets of three units can be connected in parallel for an inverter power of 144kW / 180kVA and a charging capacity of over 2500A. Search Mode When the 'search mode' is enabled, the power consumption of the inverter at no load is reduced by approximately 70%. The 'search mode' means that the Quattro is switched off when there is no load or when the load is very low. The Quattro will switch on briefly every 2 seconds. If the output current exceeds a set level, the inverter continues to operate. If not, the inverter switches off again. AES (Automatic Economy Switch) Instead of 'search mode', the AES mode can also be selected. When this setting is enabled, power consumption at no load and low load is reduced by approximately 20% by 'narrowing' the sine wave voltage. The AES mode cannot be adjusted with DIP switches and can only be used in a 'stand alone' configuration. Programmable relay (3x) Quattros are equipped with three (3) programmable relays, which can be set, for example, as a general alarm, for DC undervoltage or start/stop function for a generator. By default, a relay is set as an alarm relay, which means that the relay is de-energized in the event of an alarm or a pre-alarm (inverter almost too hot, ripple voltage on the input almost too high, battery voltage almost too low). Solar energy: always alternating current available – even during a grid failure The Quattro can be used in both autonomous and grid-connected PV and other alternative energy systems. Software to detect loss of mains power is available. Monitor and control locally or remotely – optional Monitor and control your Quattro system locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from around the world with the free VRM app and the free VRM portal website. Access is possible for multiple operating systems via a telephone, tablet, laptop or PC. Several options are available: Battery Monitor (BMV), Multi-control panel, Color Control GX and other GX communication devices, VE.Bus Smart Dongle for smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart) and with an interface cable for laptop or PC (USB or RS232 ). The level of control from customizing the Quattro to setting up a Geofence for rental vehicles and more is endless. To get an impression of the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website, visit: Victron Remote Management (https://vrm.victronenergy.com) and click on the 'Try Our Demo' button. Victron Remote Management (VRM) is a free service from Victron Energy for remote monitoring of electrical equipment around the world. Local or remote configuration > If settings need to be changed in a 'stand alone' application, this can be done within a few minutes via a DIP switch setting procedure. > Parallel and three-phase applications can be configured with the VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator software. > Autonomous, grid-interactive and self-consumption applications, with inverters and/or MPPT solar chargers, can be configured with assistants (dedicated software for specific applications). > When connected to the Ethernet, systems with a Color Control GX and other GX communication devices can be accessed and settings can be changed. Quattro models 3000VA – 15000VA The Quattro models are available in power ratings 3000VA and 5000VA in the 12V voltage rating, 3000VA, 5000VA and 8000VA in the 24V voltage rating, and 5000VA, 8000VA, 10000VA and 15000VA in 48V.
