Victron Centaur charger 12/30 (3) 90-265V AC Applications For yachts, workboats, and vehicles with a 12V installation and multiple battery banks. Charges starter, service, and bow thruster batteries simultaneously, remains permanently connected without excessive gassing, and is suitable for battery banks of 120-300 Ah. Three separate charging outputs The charger has three galvanically isolated outputs, allowing three battery banks to be charged simultaneously without interfering with one another. The 30 A charging current is distributed among the connected batteries; if only one battery bank is connected, the entire current goes to it. Three-step IUoU charging algorithm Fully automatic charging in bulk, absorption, and trickle. As soon as the charging current during absorption has dropped to approximately 70% of the nominal value, a four-hour timer starts, after which the charger switches to trickle charging. This allows the charger to remain permanently connected without a fully charged battery developing excessive gas. Adjustable to battery type * GEL, factory setting * AGM * Wet lead-acid batteries * Other mode for non-standard charging voltages * Adjustable via DIP switches behind the lower front panel Worldwide usability The input ranges from 90 to 265 V AC at 45 to 65 Hz and delivers full output power across the entire range. This allows the charger to operate on virtually any shore power network, including 120 V. The power factor is 1, ensuring minimal load on the shore power connection. Temperature compensation An internal sensor corrects the charging voltage by -2 mV/°C per cell. The charging voltage is reduced in a warm engine room and increased at low temperatures, ensuring the batteries receive the correct voltage under all conditions.
