Victron Cyrix-Li-ct 12/24-120A combiner The Cyrix-Li-ct 12/24 120A battery isolator is a microprocessor-controlled relay for a maximum current of 120A for connecting and disconnecting systems with a LiFePO4 battery. The Cyrix-Li-ct establishes a parallel connection between a lead-acid starter battery and a LiFePO4 battery: – if the charge-disconnect output voltage of the VE.Bus BMS is high, and – if 13.4V (resp. 26.8V) or more is present at one of the power terminals. The Cyrix disconnects immediately: – if the control output voltage becomes 'free floating' and thus detects cell overvoltage or cell overtemperature, and/or – if the battery voltage drops below 13.2V. Jump-start function: a short positive pulse closes the relay for 30 seconds. A built-in overvoltage limiter restricts the voltage spike that can occur if the Cyrix suddenly disconnects due to cell overvoltage or overtemperature. The LiFePO4 battery: preventing cell undervoltage, overvoltage, and overtemperature. The first protection measure is cell balancing. All Victron LiFePO4 batteries feature integrated cell balancing. The second protection measure consists of: – switching off the load in the event of impending cell undervoltage, and – switching off or reducing the charging current in the event of impending cell overvoltage, excessive temperature (>50°C), or excessive temperature (<0°C). The VE.Bus BMS is the core of the second protection measure. However, not all loads or battery chargers can be controlled directly by the VE.Bus BMS.
