DC Modular 3x M10 Busbar The DC Modular high-current busbars distribute high DC currents across multiple connected cables or other modules from the same series. This version features three M10 terminal bolts on a high-purity tinned copper base plate, is suitable for 600 A at a maximum of 60 V, and comes with a transparent cover. Applications For battery cables of 70 mm² and higher, you will want M10 bolts: these accept the tightening torque required by a large cable lug. This busbar offers three such connection points in the same compact grid layout as the rest of the series, allowing the distribution to be expanded later without rearrangement. * Yachts, commercial vessels, and electric propulsion * Off-grid, backup, and ESS installations with heavy battery cables * Construction equipment and commercial vehicles with a heavy on-board electrical system * Switch cabinets where the DC distribution is expanded later Construction and materials * Base plate made of high-purity tinned copper for low contact resistance * Bolts, washers, and nuts made of stainless steel for optimal corrosion resistance * Fiber-reinforced plastic base, resistant to high temperatures and chemicals * Transparent cover with break-off sides for cable entry from any direction Grid setup and coupling All DC Modular products have grid-matched base dimensions and the same connection height. This allows you to connect multiple rails and terminals with connection plates into a single continuous distribution system, without custom fitting and without separate connecting cables. This rail has a grid size of 1 x 2 and the same footprint as the M8 version. Smart terminal setup The terminal design makes it possible to mount two cable lugs mirrored on the same bolt. The cover is locked at the top so that the connections remain accessible afterwards without removing the module. Tighten the thumbscrews on the cover only hand-tight. Assembly and torque Mount in this order: cable lugs, flat washer, spring washer, nut. Never place a washer between the busbar and cable lug, between two cable lugs on the same bolt, between the busbar and the terminal plate, or between the cable lug and the terminal plate. Torque 22 N·m for M10 — note that this is higher than for the M8 version. Ensure sufficient strain relief on all cables. Wiring sequence For high currents, follow the top-down method: place the heaviest load as close as possible to the main supply, preferably on the same bolt, and the lighter loads on the bolts located further away. This limits losses in the busbar.
