With large battery banks, bow thrusters, and heavy-duty starter motors, currents rise far above what a standard main switch can handle. This heavy-duty version switches one battery to one consumer group using double cable connections on M12 bolts, and its illuminated strip makes it easy to find even in the dark. Heavy-duty version. The continuous load capacity is 500 A, with 900 A for 5 minutes and 1750 A for 30 seconds for starting. The switching capacity under load is 25 A. The maximum voltage is 32 VDC, suitable for 12V and 24V installations. Two cables per terminal bolt The terminal bolts are 1/2" (M12) and accommodate two 4/0 AWG (120 mm²) cables. The tightening torque is 24.86 Nm. This makes the switch suitable for parallel cable routing at high currents. Fixed button with luminous strip The switch features a fixed button with two positions, on and off, and a luminous strip that makes the position visible in the dark. Ignition protected and IP66 The switch is ignition protected according to ISO 8846 and SAE J1171, making it safe on board petrol-powered boats. The housing is IP66 and further certified according to UL 1107, UL 1500, ABYC C-7, and ABYC E-11, with CE marking. Mounting The housing allows for mounting flush, on a front panel, or behind a panel; the mounting holes accommodate 1/4" (M6) screws. An insulating cover with snap-on parts protects the contacts on the back.
