Everything needed to supply 230V mains voltage to a commercial vehicle or other vehicle, in a single set: the chassis part is mounted flush with the bodywork, and the 5m connection cable runs to the socket. For vehicles connected to the mains at a fixed location, for example for a battery charger, engine heating, or interior heating close to the wall socket. Connectable to the DEFA PlugIn system. Inside, the chassis part terminates in a DEFA PlugIn socket for a PlugIn extension cable or the wall socket for the shore power cable set; this wall socket is not included. Outside, only an original DEFA MiniPlug connection cable fits. Standard extension cords are not permitted. DEFA supplies the connection cable in fixed lengths and specifies only original MiniPlug cables; a separate long cable without an intermediate connector is the intended solution. May I use a standard extension cord? No. Only original DEFA MiniPlug connection cables belong on the MiniPlug input cable. Must the socket be earthed? Yes, only connect to an earthed socket. Is there a wall socket on the inside? No. The input cable ends in a DEFA PlugIn socket; order wall socket or PlugIn extension cable separately. How do I orient the chassis part? With the MiniPlug front slightly downwards so that water drains away, in a place protected against water and mechanical damage. What maintenance does the connection require? Apply silicone spray to the contacts before and after the season; replace the cable if the cable or cover is damaged.
