During maintenance, storage, or winter storage, the battery must be able to be completely disconnected from the system. This switch interrupts the main power of a 12V or 24V system with a quarter turn and holds the key in the off position, preventing anyone from unintentionally re-energizing the system. Removable key for locking: The key can only be removed in the off position. This ensures the system is demonstrably de-energized during work and prevents the switch from being accidentally activated. A spare key is available separately. 100 A continuous, 500 A peak: The switch handles 100 A continuously and 500 A for 5 seconds, more than sufficient for the starting current of smaller diesel and petrol engines and for lighter DC distribution systems. The contacts are made of copper. Single-pole switching: This is a single-pole on/off switch (single pole single throw) for the positive or negative line. The connections are M8 bolts made of galvanized steel. Resistant to harsh environments. With protection rating IP44, a rubber cover over the keyhole, and an operating temperature of -40 °C to +80 °C, the switch is suitable for installation in an engine compartment, a technical room, or an open tool cab. The design is REACH and RoHS compliant.
