MG Distributor LV The MG Distributor LV from MG Energy Systems is a DC distribution unit used to connect multiple MG Lithium-Ion battery modules in parallel. The cabinet contains a positive and a negative rail, with space for a fuse at each tap, ensuring that each battery string is individually protected. The entire unit is suitable for systems with a DC voltage of up to 144 volts. Applications Connecting multiple battery modules in parallel is not difficult — doing it neatly and securely is. This distribution cabinet provides each string with its own fuse and its own tap on a shared rail, within a single housing. Because the plus and minus are housed in a single enclosure, the cabling between the modules and the distribution point remains short and tidy. Fuse per tap A fuse can be installed at each connection point. This is not a luxury with parallel-connected lithium strings: in the event of a fault in one string, the rest of the system remains protected, and the fault current that the other strings can supply to that one is limited. Fuses are not included; select the value based on the cable cross-section and the system voltage. Placement in an MG system MG uses one master BMS per battery bank — an MG Master LV or MG Master HV — which communicates with the slave BMSs in the battery modules. The Master LV itself has a limited number of power connections; if that number is insufficient, this distribution box is the designated way to connect more modules in parallel.
